Problematic Tenant

It is hubby’s dream to be able to invest in real estate and convert the properties to apartments that we can rent out so we will have another source of income. Hubby’s target is to be able to invest in at least 10 properties and when he has his 10 apartments, then he can now retire, as this will be our source of income.

I am glad that my husband has a clear vision and goal for our future and I am so proud of him because at 35 years old, he was able to invest on 4 properties already with 3 of the 4 being rented out as an additional source of our income.

But we are having second thoughts now if apartments for rent are really a good business because we are having some problems with two of our tenants. They always fail to pay the rent on time and they are always 2 to 3 months delayed with their payment.

Now I want them to evacuate the property so we can find another tenant that will be diligent with the payment but we have a lot of legal questions if we, as the owner have the legal right to do that. And since they owe us three months of payment, we are wondering now what are our legal rights in order to force them to pay their debt to us.

This are just some of the questions that is bothering us and thankfully I have discovered LawQA.com where I can ask legal questions and get answers from lawyers for free. All questions submitted to the site will be kept anonymous so I don’t have to worry about my privacy.

Thank goodness I have discovered their site so at least we will know our legal rights first before we make any move against our delinquent tenant.
