More House Project

If only duracell procell 9V can give hubby energy too so he can finally finish all his renovation plans for our house. But I know that hubby is really busy with work and our weekends are dedicated for the activities of our kids and so even if we have moved in three months ago, our house still needs a lot of work before we can finally say that this is what we really want our house to be.

But aside from time, we are a bit tight on the budget as we are still struggling with the monthly amortization of our house so there is really not much that we can do with the limited budget that we have.

But if money and time is not an issue, we would love to have a total makeover of our kids’ room and just look at this design ideas for colorful children’s room which I got from Digs Digs:

I always wanted a room like this for my kids. But at least we still have several years to save for this project as our kids are still co-sleeping with us and I think it will take several more years before I can finally let go of my babies and let them be independent.

Reviving an Old Family Tradition

No matter what we do and where we are on Sunday, it is imperative that we are home by 8 PM for our family’s Sunday dinner:

Sunday Night Dinner with thw FamBam

When my cousin, my siblings and I were still little, we used to have dinner at my grand mother’s house every night. This is during the time when we still live right beside each other. But the family is getting bigger and bigger as some of us got married, gone into a relationship and have kids. Also majority of us moved houses already that we live a little far from my grand mother’s house. Since then, the long family tradition has been discontinued.

But since we moved to our new home, we now have a much bigger space to entertain guests and my whole clan can now fit in our dining room. That is why when we had dinner one night at our place, my brother suggested to revive the old family tradition.

And that is what we did starting three Sundays ago. The rule is, no one should be absent during our Sunday dinner except for major reasons. That is why even if some of us are still wearing nurses uniforms, or we just got back from an out of town trip, or even after working overtime, we always make it a point that we will be home by 8 PM. Otherwise, the one who is absent will be shouldering the dinner expense for the next Sunday. LOL.

And everybody loved the idea as it is the perfect opportunity for the family to get together and catch up with the going ons in our lives since we don’t get to see each other everyday, unlike before. And hopefully, this will be a good childhood memory for the new generation of kids in our family.

Christmas Decorating Project of Hubby & the Grand Parents

Presenting hubby, mom and dad’s project:

B has been bugging us to decorate our house as she has been seeing Christmas decors from our neighbors and so she kept on asking us why we haven’t decorated our house yet. Since hubby is off from work today because of Thanksgiving holiday, he was able to go shopping for more Christmas decors.

He set up some of it when he reached home but then he has to leave after an hour to fetch B and my mom and my dad was in the mood for some art project and this is what we came home with.

B and Jacobo was so pleased that they kept on saying their Wows and Oooohs as soon as they saw the Christmas decors.

Of course, hubby and the grand parents were so pleased and proud of their hard work.

Now all that is needed are more Christmas lights to put up in our terrace and it is already Merry Christmas at our house.

Enjoying Our Books About Acai Berry, Krill Oil and more In our Very Own Home-Library

My daughter loves reading books. She got this from my husband and I who are book lovers too. We believe that it is important to instill the love for books to our daughter as we believe that reading can broaden her knowledge and will feed her a lot of information which she can’t get from schools or from watching TV.

That is why if budget permits, my husband and I would love to turn one of the rooms in our house into a library. Just look at some of the ideas that we saw on the Internet:

Picture snagged from .housebeautiful.com

We want the room to be relaxing and noise free as possible so we will have peace every time we stay there to enjoy a good book.

But aside from the aesthetics of the room, we also are planning on the library of books that we want to put in the library. Our top priority is health books like books that will teach us How to lower cholesterol and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. We have been hearing about different cases of our friends suffering from different illnesses like cancer that my husband and I would really want to arm ourselves with knowledge that can at least help us prolong our life.

From our reading, we have also learned about the different health supplements like Acai Berry, Krill Oil, and the like which have a lot of health benefits like boosting our immune system, prevent hearth diseases, increase energy, flush harmful toxins and more.

I can’t wait for the time when I can finally enjoy reading all these health books in our soon to be home-library.

Home from B's Birthday

We just got home from Bela’s birthday. It’s been a very tiring day but at least Bela did have fun.

Bela chose to celebrate her 6th birthday at Hospicio de San Jose. One of the orphanages that we use to visit from time to time to do charity works. B agreed that her guests will give donations for the kids instead of gifts for her and that makes me prouder because I can see that she’s growing up with a big heart.

It was a bit stressful months of preparation for her birthday but everything was paid off when we saw the feeling of joy in the kids’ eyes. All efforts are very worth it and it’s a big pleasure for us to extend our hands to those who are in need.

And now that Bela’s birthday is over, I think I could use a massage for myself. Good thing that my friend recommended a place where I can get a great and soothing massage. Their family friend who is currently working there also recommended it to her. They said that they are still offering Therapists jobs so you guys might want to check it as well if you are currently looking for one.

I think I’ll try it next weekend and I’ll see the services they offer. I’m really looking forward for a very relaxing weekend and I can’t wait no more.

My Vanity Kit and My Beauty Essentials from the Leading Online Beauty Supply Outlet

Now that I finally have a space in our bedroom for my vanity kit, I can’t help but be addicted to the site of LeeBeauty, the leading online beauty supply outlet.

Hubby said that he would get me a nice vanity kit where I can put all my beauty products so I can start buying my beauty essentials again. You see, hubby said that he couldn’t forget the first time he saw me where I was wearing red lipstick. He said that he misses the old me and he thought that getting me a nice vanity kit will inspire me to bring back my old self that hubby used to love (well not that he doesn’t like the way I look now but he knows that I miss pampering myself too).

And I guess it worked as I have been on the site of LeeBeauty since I arrived from work. I love their site as they have all the products that I need like the clip on hair extensions, the relaxers and moisturizers that I need for my hair, the curling iron and hot air brush and they even have the lace front wigs which really looks like real hair (no wonder even celebrities are using it).

I can’t wait for my vanity kit to arrive and to fill it with beauty products from LeeBeauty.

House Blessing

My husband and I are already planning for the blessing of our house. We initially wanted it on November 20 as we confirmed from the Chinese calendar that it is a good date for house warming but looks like we will not have enough time to prepare the house like buy additional stuff like curtains, fix the floorings, a little wall painting and the like.

Although I started with the guest list already and so far we have 50 pax in our list (not including the guests that my parents would surely like to invite). I also checked out caterers and if the service for B’s party is good, I will be getting the same caterer, as their price is really affordable.

November 20 is already 3 weeks from now and I don’t think that we will be ready by then. Our second option is to have it on January as a dual celebration with my birthday so instead of just giving out birthday invitations only, we will be distributing house-warming invites as well.

I will be leaving it up with hubby to decide. Besides he is the manager for this event so it is up to him when he wants to have it.

Christmas Decors from Bicol

Instead of me being busy shopping for decorations for our house, it is hubby who has been doing some shopping lately. And on his recent trip to Bicol, he brought home this:

Sino may sabing Adik asawa ko sa Xmas Wreaths? LOL: Upper left for Cobi's Room; Lower Left for Bela's Room; Right for our Room

These are Christmas wreaths, which he got for only P140 in Legaspi. When he told me over the phone that he got some Christmas decors, I was like “Oh no, another clutter to add to our house” because I know how hubby has a penchant for junk. LOL. So I was really surprised when he showed me this Christmas wreaths. He just got a bit overboard as he purchased 4, one for each of our rooms. LOL. Oh well, I know that hubby is just excited to decorate our house as this will be the first Christmas that we will celebrate here so I know he just wants it to be special.

He also got this corner décor for P85 only (we saw it in Divi and it is priced at P250) but I am just not sure though where to put it.

P85 sa Bicol. P250 sa divi: Uwi ni howell from Bicol

Problematic Tenant

It is hubby’s dream to be able to invest in real estate and convert the properties to apartments that we can rent out so we will have another source of income. Hubby’s target is to be able to invest in at least 10 properties and when he has his 10 apartments, then he can now retire, as this will be our source of income.

I am glad that my husband has a clear vision and goal for our future and I am so proud of him because at 35 years old, he was able to invest on 4 properties already with 3 of the 4 being rented out as an additional source of our income.

But we are having second thoughts now if apartments for rent are really a good business because we are having some problems with two of our tenants. They always fail to pay the rent on time and they are always 2 to 3 months delayed with their payment.

Now I want them to evacuate the property so we can find another tenant that will be diligent with the payment but we have a lot of legal questions if we, as the owner have the legal right to do that. And since they owe us three months of payment, we are wondering now what are our legal rights in order to force them to pay their debt to us.

This are just some of the questions that is bothering us and thankfully I have discovered LawQA.com where I can ask legal questions and get answers from lawyers for free. All questions submitted to the site will be kept anonymous so I don’t have to worry about my privacy.

Thank goodness I have discovered their site so at least we will know our legal rights first before we make any move against our delinquent tenant.
